Faculty of Humanities Showcases Excellence in Thai Classical Dance through Annual Solo Performance Project
On 3 August 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Onusa Suwanpratest, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Naresuan University, presided over the opening ceremony of the Thai Classical Dance Standard Solo Performance Project for the Academic Year 2026. The event was organized by the Thai Classical Dance Program, Department of Performing Arts, and held at the 72nd Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Theatre, Naresuan University.
The annual project provides fourth-year students with an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, technical skills, and artistic excellence they have cultivated throughout their four years of study. Drawing upon the established principles and traditions of Thai classical dance, students presented solo performances that reflected both their mastery of the art form and their commitment to preserving Thailand’s rich cultural heritage.
This project also encourages students to integrate academic learning with practical performance experience while fostering artistic creativity, professional confidence, and a deep appreciation of Thai performing arts. It also highlights the Faculty’s commitment to producing graduates who possess both technical proficiency and cultural understanding, ensuring that Thailand’s classical performing arts continue to flourish for future generations
